How to Enable Eclipse based modelling for SAP BW 7.3

Hi folks,

I am currently working on a SAP BW on HANA Scenario. with SAP BW 7.3 version.

Is it possible to do all BW related modelling on Eclipse or HANA Studio?

Currently I do modelling related to BW on SAP Logon and then any creation of views above DSO's is done in HANA Studio.

I have seen in many openSAP videos that even BW related modelling being done in HANA Studio.

Can any one guide me , from where do I enable this , and is it possible on 7.3 or this feature is available only in BW 7.4.

    Hi Ashish Jagani,

BW modelling tool is available only from BW 7.40 SP05 Onwards .

What all you can do in BW modelling tools:

    1) Composite provider creation and maintenance

    2) Open ODS view creation and maintenance

    3)Advanced DSO creation and maintenance

You can invoke the ABAP modelling screen in Eclipse based studio and do other ABAP based modelling.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Thanks & Regards

    A.Dinesh
