IBP Excel - message asking for Reason Codes

Dear all,

Wanted to see if anybody knows how to make appear the message for reason codes when doing changes in the IBP Excel interface. As it looks that I get it with some PAs and not with others...

If it is not appearing for any PA, it is suppressed at global level - by Global Parameters. It can be restricted by Business Role as well. Please check your corresponding roles. what is you IBP system version?

Basically 3 things :-

1. User role provides authorization for respective Reason Codes (RC)

2. a. General Configuration Setting should have the entry COLLABORATION|COLLABORATION_ENABLED|TRUE Or,

b. Planning Areas should be enabled for 'Change History' and atleast one key figure should have 'Change History Enabled'

3. General Configuration should NOT have the entry PLAN_VIEW|SUPRESS_RC_COMMENT|X(or any other value) . Refer pg. 180 of 1702_Model Configuration Guide)

SAP suggests that Reason Code is not saved in the IBP database, and it can only get saved in JAM posts or Change History, hence these settings are required to enable the reason code pop-up window.
