How to read Application logs (OLD_MESSAGES) in AIF action FM ?

Hi All,

I am in a situation where i have 2 FMs in a single AIF Action.

Let's suppose FM1 and FM2.

FM1 is calling a BAPI and its RETURN table i have to read in FM2 for further processing ( basically to make FM2 a reusable component).

I have passed RETURN to RETURN_TAB of the function module and have checked "READ OLD MESSAGES" checkbox of the action. But still OLD_MESSAGES table in FM2 is coming as blank. I have tried by writing messages into application logs too. But still can't read BAPI return (in FM1) in FM2.

I have also tried by putting these 2 FMs in separate Actions. but still not working.

Please help me.
