User id for End-to-End monitoring in XI

Hi

When the configuration in the XI End-to-End monitoring is saved, an RFC destination is created on the monitoring server for each XI component to enable end-to-end monitoring of the respective XI component.

Now, one of the systems to be monitored is a SAp R/3 business system . Ideally, what is the correct logon user id to be used to logon to this SAP R/3 business system in the RFC destination definition PMI* in the XI box ( this RFC destination is created automatically in the XI box when End-to-End configuration is saved- by default the End-to-End configuration uses XIRWBUSER which is not a valid user in the SAP R/3 business system )

Hi karthik,

create XIRWBUSER in SAP R/3 with the following role and use the same in PMI destination...

SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER.

Check these links...

After the XIRWBUSER was created in R3 and assigned that role , I get the following error message when I go to Configuration in RWB

User XIRWBUSER has no RFC authorization for function group SXI_PMI_CONFIG ., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE

Is there any more authorizaton I am missing ??

The RFC destinations PMI* in XI go through a successful authorization check though - with the user XIRWBUSER...

Its only from the RWB--> Configuration screen that I see this authorization failure message for all R3 business system clients that I have activated End-End-monitoring.

Hi Karthik,

Try assigning the SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER_MAIN to XIRWBUSER.

Check this thread

>>carry out a mass generation of all profiles for SAP_XI* roles and after that a user comparison.
