Solution Manager 7.1 sp11 to sp12 upgrade issue

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade SOLMAN 7.1 sp11 to sp12 with SUM Version: 1.0, SP: 10,Patch: 9 but getting error  Cannot detect the source and target SAP NetWeaver release like below.

Hi Srini,

actual version of SUM is 1.0 SP11 Patch 7 - please download this from SAP.

Another point is your SUM directory. You have:

E:\usr\sap\SUM\

I would suggest to place SUM directory below to your system "<sid>" directory:

E:\usr\sap\<sid>\SUM\

Please try these two changes.

Are you sure that the XML generated is correct ?

Can you goto LMDB and check system/product assignation is correct ?

Look at the other logs generated in the same sdt/log directory.

There would be a log/trace file there showing what command it is trying to execute to identify what source and target system release you have.

Likely causes are missing script (or associated binaries) or permissions (incase of Unix but you're on windows so not really applicable). However you can also run the same command manually if it at all works or not
