Hello Experts,
Kindly let me know where to define item category group (NORM) in C4C.
I am replicating products from CRM to C4C. In the business communication monitoring I am getting the below content error.
"An incoming integration message cannot not be processed because an external code value NORM supplied for local type CustomerTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeDeterminationProductGroupCode was not found in the code list mapping for the sending business system."
In Customer transaction document item processing type determination product group code of code list mapping there are no entries in local code. So before performing Code List Mapping, I have to create local code "NORM" in C4C.
Kindly let me know where can we create this specific entry in C4C.
Thanks & Regards,
Lakshith
Hello Experts!
Additional information for this same topic:
Error that happened to me: Category item XX has not been defined for this item
In this case, when trying to request price determination, the error message was displayed in C4C. When querying the product in the ERP, the "Item Category Group" field located on the "Sales Org." tab of the material master was filled with a value of "Z..".
So my goal was to try and map this new value into C4C. However, I was not finding where to create this new mapping, I just found the mapped activity Item Group Code
CustomerTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeDeterminationProductGroupCode.
Final conclusion: I found SAP NOTE: 3211370 - \"Resolve configuration problem in mapping codelist to CustomerTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeDeter field\" error message when replicating materials to C4C.
SAP Note informs that only default values are accepted: "NORM, PICK and DISPATCH" for this field. It is not possible to map a new "Z" value.
Hope help you.

Hello,
The appendix of the integration guide - https://service.sap.com/cloud4customer has the code list and fine tuning locations. If you look there, you'll see several entries for CustomerTranscationDocument - it looks like in fine tuning it's in the Opportunities area.
Check out that area in fine tuning and let me know if you don't find it. If you do, please post here the exact fine tuning update required so we can share with others.
thanks

Hi this i unfortunatly not helping much especially since the code is posted completely:
"CustomerTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeDeterminationProductGroupCode "
Could you please link the exact fine tuning activity in the comment, also the links for documentation tend to deprecate fast and the above one is already, could you maybe find the new one and post it to get a lead.
Additionally
CustomerTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeDeterminationProductGroupCode
and BusinessTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeCode
are two different things, no ?

Hello,
Also add this issue during a C4C integration with ECC.
When i tried to map the CustomerTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeDeterminationProductGroupCode it was only available for mapping group "ERP Integration".
After reviewing the scope (referenced in previous posts) again, the mapping group "SAP On Premise Integration" was again available.
Thanks for the inputs.
Cheers

Dear all,
we are currently facing the same issue when integrating materials from ERP to C4C. I am getting error "Solve Configuration Issue in Code List Mapping for field CustomerTransactionDocumentItemProcessingTypeDeterminationProductGroupCode with value NORM".
The Integration guide does not mention any fine Tuning activity for this Local Data Type Name. How do I proceed? I am not sure on what to match the ERP codes. Moreover, this code cannot be mapped automatically.
Thanks and regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Have you tried maintaining NORM for the Internal code as well ? The documentation says that there is no Fine Tuning location for the Internal code. This would typically imply that we don't define our own values for the Local code. Having Local = Remote should be sufficient in my opinion.
Kind Regards
Vinita
