ASSIGN PERSON(P) TO POSITION(S)

Hi Experts,

I am using PPOME to create OM objects - org units and positions.

Now I am stuck, how to assign a person to a position and how to create reporting structure using PPOME?

For example(Reporting Structure):

VP

====>

Manager

====>

Supervisor

What all checks is to be done?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    If you are ok, then you can use Tcode PP01, as this is the expert mode and you can do your structure using this.

    OR

    you can use Tcode - PPOC_OLD - Create , this is ideal for creating a ORG and Reporting structure to begin with.

    Please try these, it will answer your query.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Vishwas

      In TCode PPOME follow the below steps:

      Select a junior position > GOTO > Reporting Structure > Assign > Is line supervisor of > select the position

      This will create the reporting structure.

    Go to PPOME and select your position right click then click on assign then select relationship from the window choose relationship A008 holder then click on enter then it gives you the Personnel number details select the personnel number which you wanted ti assign and save.

    Go to PO13 give your position number as Input then select relationships click on create there you enter Relationship type/relationship A 011

    Object type P

    ID of related object Personnel number XXXXX

    Click on save.

    Once you feel that your query is answered you can close the thread as well.

    Hi experts,

    I have a question related to that...

    I'm not a HCM consultant, I'm GRC and in some features we need to know the manager information obtained by a standard functionality which communicates with HCM.

    In a project, we are having an issue that in some cases people are appearing as their own manager.

    For example:

    My doubt is:

    1) Is that a standard behaviour?

    2) Is there some sapnote or any documentation which I could consult the rules regarding this activity and tell to our HR team the best way that it (position assignment) should be done?

    Best regards,

      In that case reporting structure has not been defined for this employee who is appearing as manager of its own.

      Please define the reporting structure. For this you will have to coordinate with your HR consultant.
