Inspection Lot generation while posting stock from quality to blocked.

Hi,

Gurus,

Our client want when they are rejecting an inspection lot and doing stock posting from quality to blocked stock a new inspection lot should get generated for the material posted to blocked stock.

As the rejected material would be rectified by the vendor and again this should be inspected and UD should be conducted with the inspection lot generated for accepting and posting to UR stock

But they don't want to do with t code MB1B. They want this should be done in QA11 only.

So please tell me can I do any customizing setting for movement type 350 or any thing else.

Your suggestions are very valuable for me.....

Hello,

As far as stdn SAP QM practice is concern, stock posting is through lot only from QI to UNRES or QI to BLOCk etc. So already one lot is there against this rejection qty and document generated in bkgrnd.

Now, your query is vendor first rectify and from Block to QI and then QI to Unres then you need inspection lot for RR and UD so that if it is ok then move to UNRES and if not then remain in BLOCk stock.

Now, Via mb1b when you post the block qty back to QI via 350 there is off course inspection lot and via QA11 only you can do  RR and UD and stock posting based on decision.

as per your query, now your need is from same screen no mb1b, better to go with notifications and its action boxes. create notification in backgrd and assign FM for transfer posting in action boxes. from Blck to Qi this help to generate one more lot and from there you achieve your requirement.

I am just once again stating my issue

Client requirement is suppose there are 10 qty in quality with inspection lot after doing UD and while in stock posting we transfer

8 from quality to UR stock and

2 from quality to Blocked stock.

So now the client want that for that 2 quantity in blocked stock inspection lot should get generated

When rectification done by vendor with respect to that inspection lot again UD to be conducted and posted to UR stock  from blocked stock.

There is one lot for 10 qty. now against this one document is posted in bkgrnd for 8 and one is for 2 for block stock.

same thing i was told you now as already qty is in blocked stock and reason of blocking those 2 qty already captured in one document w.r.t original inspection lot. then with reference to this original lot what is the need of another lot.

If you want procedure then it is like that:

Original lot of 10 qty.

RR done , defect found

Create bkgrnd notification of f3 type w.r.t inspection lot. for 2 qty.

Post 8 Qty in UNRES

Post 2 Qty in BLCK

Now, process Notification which was created for those 2 defected qty.

Once rectification done and data feed in notification about causes and all.

Apply action box--> Transfer post from block to Unres--> FM QMLR_BLOCKED_TO_FREE_STOCK---> assign to this as Task in notification.

Close the task and qty posted to unres.

without closing task notification not closed and without notification original inspection lot not allows for UD.

I dnt think so any new inspection lot is required w.r.t original one.

If you need separate then definitely you need go to via MB1B posting.

Thanks for your solution.

I have tried and it is working too with few settings which I have made in configuration.

But the issue is if material is batch managed with serial number then for those material system is asking for serial numbers but no screen is popup for entering the serial numbers.

But there is one field in T code QM02 which is related to serial number but it is greyed out. So how I should activate that field can you suggest me.

Or any other method for completing the stock posting from Blocked to Unrestricted use with material having serial number

Hello,

If notification auto generated w.r.t inspection lot then serial number auto popluate if not then check the inspection lot and attached serial numbers with that lot and insert the same. same for batch also.

if it is auto generated in bkgrd then data floats from lot / material to notification screens.

If field is disable then check customization ---> maintain screen fields & variants. if field indicator set as disable then make it optional for entry.

if you manually created any notification of F2 type and inserted inspection lot number then also system ask you for serial number and field is disable or grey out ???

Sorry to disturb you...

One more issue is related to movement type as how we can activate special stock "Q - Project Stock".

As for this movement type 343 which we are using in stock posting with t code QM02 the screen which is appearing is related to only simple movement type 343 it is not considering the special stock as "Q"

The error message is...

This error is coming because the movement type we are using is not a special stock for movement type...

Still I am facing the same problem for the serial nos....

As system is asking for (Maintain serial number for Total Quantity).

Following customization setting I have made for serial nos...

As after creating Usage decision and making stock posting when we go for save then system ask for serial nos and there we assign serial number to it.

But in quality notification this serial number is not taken by the system automatically from the stock posting.

So kindly guide me what settings I have to make in the system.

Hello,

Dear, there is no tab in MM- QM view as far as  serial number is concern. there is only one indicator only in QM view.

You need to define serial number profile and all in other tabs related to MRP views.

Hello,

You need to incorporate the logic of MB1b screen in that functional module which you are calling in notification for transfer posting form one strg location to another.

Just ask technical person to write the logic of calling the MB1b screen or just incorporate the special stock indicator fields.

Same FM is used for calling the special stock indicators.

Then creating defect recording and entering serial number there.

After that doing UD with stock posting from quality to blocked stock and

When I am creating quality notification and doing stock posting from blocked to unrestricted.

System is throwing error message as "Maintain serial numbers for total quantity"

But as I have said for this material I have assigned serial number before while doing defect recording and the quantity is also only one.

So why this error is coming and provide me the step by step method for resolving the issue.

Hello ,

you need to enter it manually in Notification screen. have you assigned serial number profile in material master ? Secondly, if stock is available in related strg location then system also ask the same?

Hi,

Yes I have maintained serial number profile in General Plant Data / Storage 2 and tick serial number for inspection type 01  in quality management tab in material master.

In Quality Notification it has picked serial number but when there is only one unit then it should not throw the error msg.

If it is asking then where I have to post the serial number as the field is greyed out.
