Dear All,
We have come across this requirement from our client to assign the inspection lots created in the system to the individual lab technicians to complete the task of quality check. Is it possible in standard SAP?
I have thought of a way to design individual technician as work center & create multiple inspection plans for every work center but this will be cumbersome as everytime the user has to select the inspection plan manually for the inspection lot.
Is there any simplest way to map the requirement?

Hello,
The best way is that, just make one global inspection plan.
Define different work centres as per the the operation like
WC01- Physical opr
WC02- Chemical etc.
Now, In each work centre assign the responsible user.
and in inspection plan against each work centre you have multiple numbers of MIC accordding to test.
Now, whenever inspection lot created system will only allow the user authorized for its operation only, system won't allow other to put the results of another operation which one assigned to second persons.
If in your system Work flow is enable and every user has its own login ID for processing then you can also make it fast by triggering the Mail alerts to concern persons.

Hello Shailendra,
Thanks for your reply.
Let me mention what I have understood from you answer. You mean to say every QC department will be created as work center & for every WC one person will be a responsible user.
This satisfies my query partially. What if that the particular department has more number of persons who conduct quality checks?
The whole objective is to assign the particular inspection lots to particular technicians.

Hello ,
Inspection lot created and moved to authorized person, now query is no. of responsible is more, then its users call and during time of RR, there is field where user need to maintain is name and proceed with RR relevant to Work centre.in QE51 as well as in every transactions.
Why i here mentioned is that as One user login ID and multiple user's to proceed with it. then there is no restriction of selecting or proposing the user during RR. if no. of user= No . of login id's then only you can restrict the operation / user responsible & Inspection data.

Hi ManoJ,
Sorry to reply to a very old thread, but thought of sharing my experience here.
For information purpose, we can maintain User or Inspector name at "short text' in QA02 screen. I.e at field QALS-KTEXTLOS. Once maintained, we can save the screen layout in QA32 with the short test. By looking at this QA32 report, the respective Chemist will pick their inspection lots for Analysis.
This I have implemented for one of my clients.
Hope this is useful
Thanks and regards

Hi
We can use Inspection Point option to assign Insp Lot to Inspector ( Lab Technician). Once after creating the Lot assign the operator responsible to the lot. Link User table to Inspection Point and get the list through F4 help.

Hello
If your using 03 inspection type then assign it in inspection plan header, choose appropriate inspection point and then test your process.
when lot created system will ask you like enter date time and inspector name which you can get from F4 help if data maintained in customization.
Now, if your using 04 inspection type or say 01 inspection type again do the same thing assign inspection point at header level and when lot created then system will ask you the same.
here you need to evaluate the inspection points results. and after that provide UD and closed by stock posting.
