Cost component splilt not working in COAP

Dear All,

Please give me some hints on this

We are using costing based COPA

We have booked the cost in Cost centers and allocated to Business process using T.CODE: KSU5 (Assessment)

We have allocated cost from Business process to Products using T.CODE: CPAE(Template Allocation)

we have created the COPA Report and executed in KE30 now cost is showing in Value field which was configured in Transaction : KEI2(DUMMY Value field)

but cost needs to be updated as per cost component split(Cost component has been done in (T.code OKTZ) but it is not happening( we have done cost component split configuration also)

Hello Madhav,

If you are using primary cost component splits for activity types in Cost Center Accounting, and the cost component structure is not the same as that of the material cost estimate, transfer this information in the cost estimate through assignments to a transfer structure

Please check

Hi

Though i never used this functionality, would you like to check in Price calculation setting withing Version configuration for Setting for each fiscal year to see if you have a Cost component structure maintained within this?

This option normally is used for Primary CCS to reflect the price calculation from Cost Centre accounting to Product costing, but it may also be relevant.

You please check the report S_ALR_87013644 whether  cost component split is there or not.

If you find that cost component is not properly carried out check CCS and other settings.

Remember you must do your process properly..like cost center planning, price calculation etc..

As you suggested i have done the settings but cost is not showing any one of the value field.but previously it was showing in the Dummy value field  why it is not showing any value field now

I am doing the Business process wise planning in CP26 .i am executing all the transaction successfully with out any errors.Ex: (Cost center to Business process and Business process to Product) i have executed the report S_ALR_87013644 in my system but it is not displaying  any data (Cost component split)

That means your CCS is not defined properly or you have not run KSS4 for split of planning and KSS2 for actual split

Try and revert back

I am doing planning against to Business process so i found one transaction code:CPS2 I have executed this transaction but no result but i did not find any t.code against to KSS4 in activity based costing(Business process)

where you have defined/planned your cost..at cost center level or at other obj  ?

Sorrry ..You are doing activity based costing..have you gone through the following steps:

1. Planed  in CP06 & CP26

2. Allocation

3. Plan price calculation

4. See whether plan price having splitting or not.

     If you plan price splitted, will get actual also splitted as per CCS

Hi,

yes I am doing planning against to business process in CP26

Actually it is working properly in my other client but it is not working in development client

initially i have missed 2 steps in the new client

1. Assignment Organisational unit -cost component structure in OKTZ

2.Assignment of cost component split in (settings for each fiscal year for the version in controling area settings)

i found above both steps when i compare my configuration bitween two clients

i have done planning and posting with out doing above two steps. there might be some issu now thats why  "VALUES ARE NOT UPDATING IN COPA VALUE FIELDS WHEN I DO THE Template allocation in T.CODE:CPAE(Business process to Product)

you are now in right track..

   Now You do a fresh testing and please see the result of your each transaction level especially after price calculation whether primary cost comp split is happening or not...

Hi,

After doing above configuration also values are not updating in COPA Value fields initially these values were displaying in dummy value field. now no data is moving to copa value fields it may be because of some warning message

"No Layered price exists for control object xxxxxxxxxxx

message no. KF029

The transfer of price (split accross cost component) is activated for allocating activities to copa how ever no split price exists for objectXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

it may be that the transper of split pricess was activated after the price were determined as apposed to BEFORRE.

Procedure

execute price calculation for the effected objects first before performing the transper.

i am gettign above error now

I have seen some notes but those are old ones

Your prob lies on splitting of cost at CCS during price calculation...

Do you have both CP06 & CP26

Then Template allocation and plan price calculation

I think something you are missing otherwise cost should split at process level and COPA value field in respect to CCS Attributes should update

i maintain plan price in CP26 then i run CPAE it will post using planing price (Rs.1)

I run CPII now it will post document with actual value(here it will happen delta posting)
