Batch Management Indicator not set in delivery item

Hello Experts,

the Batch Management indicator does not get in the line item of the outbound delivery. the material is batch managed and is active and has stocks through GR and batch is created, batch is not blocked etc

when delivery is created, the indicator is not set  and hence all subsequent actions like transfer from TO fail

Appreciate you help in resolution and your comments for the same

Any idea why "when delivery is created, the indicator is not set  " ?

Can it be that the material had no batch management indicator active at time of delivery creation? Can it be that the indicator was activated later  set with some doubtful methods?

Thanks for the reply. these were the thoughts too, so deleted the delivery and sales order and re created the sales order and DO, but the same behavior is repeated and no clue to this erratic happening

no doubtful methods like table entry etc were done. all through standard sap and material creation mode

any suggestions...some more info, Material is non valuated and does not have value updation in material type but has batch management active, but in development the indicator is set for these too

Have you checked the table MARA field XCHPF  and table MARC fields XCHPF  and XCHAR

if they are equal to your other batch managed materials?

Honestly, I have never seen such case after a normal material creation. But I have seen similar cases caused by user exits and table maintenance.

Where do you have the problem, in Dev or PROD? And why are the systems different?
