How to convert smartform out put to editable format and save on the local drive?

Hello experts,

Can we save the smartform output in the editable format in local drive.

As of now, we are converting the output in PDF and saving it on local drive. But the client needs the output to be saved in word format (editable) so that after saving the form they can add/modify the content if required.

Can any one guide me on this.

Thanks in advance..

Best regards,

Ramana

Hi,

Smartform cannot be converted to word format, but it can be converted to text format if it will do....

Converting in text format will result in format loss...e.g table borders will not be visible, table fields will not have a perfect alignment depending upon the lengths of the data in them.

Hello RAMANA,

Use these steps :

1) Print your Smartform to Spool.

2) use Transaction SP01 and get spool id for your smartform.

3) use Report: RSTXPDFT4 to download it to PDF.

4) Use any PDF editor to edit the PDF.

Now save it

Hope it helps

Hi Ramana,

If you have the PDF editor software in your system then you can edit the PDF document but before this you have to download the pdf form to your local system.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello everybody,

We are also trying the same - downloading it in PDF and using some converter to get it into editable format.

But the software we are using is asking for the password of the document - smartform PDF - though we've n't given any password while saving the smartform in local drive.

Could you suggest.

Best regards,

Ramana
