How to refresh business view in crystal reports

I have developed a business view and used it in report. till now there is no issue.. but when I change the business element in business view, It is not getting updated in the report and every time I change I am forced to create a new report which is a very tedious task as the report is very complex.

I have tried different ways to update the business view, One of the way is "Set Datasource Location" but nothing was working for me.

I feel there would be some way to update the business view without creating new report every time.

Experts please guide me achive this task so that without creating new report all changes will get updated that are in changed business view.

Thanks for your time.

Siva

Hi Siva,

Have you tried the 'Verify Database' option (Database > Verify Database).

Also, what kind of change has happened in the Business Element?

Thanks for your reply Abhilash

I tried the option 'Verify Database' but unfortunately nothing changed in report.

I have added few new elements and also updated formulas for the existing elements and I want that change to reflect in report.

Hi Siva,

Try, please, to reopen your CR Designer and then 'Verify Database'.

In some cases reopening helps me (reconnection to repository occurs).

Hi Alena

Thanks for your reply...

Your suggestion helped me.. I have reopened the report and then used the option "Verify Database" now I am able to see the reports with the changes made in Data Foundation
