Replication required for Business suite on HANA

Hi Experts

We are trying to understand the 3 ways to Implement HANA

1)SAP HANA as a Data Wareshouse for Analytics

2)SAP BW on SAP HANA

3)SAP Business suite on SAP HANA

My question is -> for Option 3 do we need to replicate data for BO reporting ? or we can just directly create Views on SAP HANA tables of ECC.

Hello,

For Business suite on SAP HANA, you have all the ERP tables on HANA DB schema. For consumption from HANA DB from directly for BO reporting, you can create Analytical/Calculation views. But if you want to continue with existing BW queries, you need to replicate the data to BW.  You can also consume HANA views in BW as a Virtual Provider without replication: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-44528

So all the Replication they are talking about is only for option 1 and option 2...that's nice..
