Knowledge sharing of SAP Country Version for Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan

Hi all,

I am looking for people with experience or senior knowledge regarding a SAP roll out process in either Russia, Ukraine, or Kazakhstan.

I would like to get in touch with people who would like to share any thoughts regarding the roll out process and SAP's ability to cover legal requirements in the respective countries. Either by SAP standard or the implementation of SAP Country Versions. In other words, I would like to know if SAP is used in the Russia, Ukraine, or Kazakhstan to handle specific standalone legal requirements, especially within Finance and Payroll. And the extent to which you are familiar with the new SAP Country Versions in those countries.

Furthermore, I would like to know how quick SAP is to adapt the legal requirements in the individual countries and whether the new SAP Country Version is able to cover the requirements continuously.

So, if you might have any kind of experience with the roll out process of SAP in those countries or the success rate regarding this, please share your thoughts here!

Hi Kenneth,

The best way to find this knowledge is the page service.sap.com/local/ . In the node 'Europe' you can find information about all listed countries. If you will need more after that, contacting you account person at SAP with more explicit questions is the best way.

Thank you for following up on this! I have already looked into the website above but I would just like to know if there is some consultants, controllers
etc. out there with knowledge or experience regarding the roll out process to
figure out whether SAP standard or a SAP country version are supposed to cover all
legal requirements in the respective countries. By extension, from people with roll out
experience, I would like to know if there is some functions or requirements in
those countries, which are challenging to cover by SAP?

Thanks once again for your attention to this discussion. On the website you are
referring to, I found a presentation of the SAP Country Version in Russia,
including assumed limitations by using the Country Version, but it has been not updated
since 2011 and I think the Country Version has been updated since to cover
those areas.

It's me who has a huge experience of rolling-out SAP solutions in CIS.

Of course, Localizations for CIS countries can't cover all 100% of legal requirements. It's impossible. More that, it's impossible of any country. At the same time country versions for listed countries are very mature and cover large part of legal requirements. Legal changes are delivered asap.

This is just general answers to general questions. It would be great, if you could specify your interest in such a knowledge and background of your request. I suppose it's possible here to send a private message or direct mail to my address.

P.S. Roll-out materials published on the page above are more or less full. There were just some minor adjustmenrs which will be reflected soon. They do not depend on the whole picture.
