process chain runtime - unable to find relevant information from standard tables

Hi all,

I would like to know if there is a table where I can find the run time of a process chain.

The table RSPCPROCESSLOG was analyzed, but it didn't provide accurate information - the time stamp values did not match the actual time shown in rspcm --> Click on variant of the respective process chain --> Display Messages --> Chain tab.

Is there any other alternative to find the runtime because we require it in our project.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can see this in ST13 . There is a column for run time duration of every chain .

Thanks,

Hi Aparajitha,

You can analyse process chain Run time using T-Code : ST13 Pass BW-TOOLS execute it -> Process chain analysis execute.

Pass the process chain and start date as a parameter and execute.

You can analyse process chain start time end time and run time.

Hope this helps.

Hi AS,

Are you looking start and end time of chain wise or step  wise.

if you need chain wise then there is no table to shows whole process chain start and end timings.

But based on last step you need to find the end time and pull that time digits from RSPCPROCESSLOG table.

Thanks

Hi,

please check the below table

RSPCLOGS - Application Logs for the Process Chains

RSPCLOGCHAIN - Cross-Table Log ID / Chain ID

Thanks,

Thanks, but these tables do not have the required information.

Can anyone please suggest tables other than the usual RSPC* related tables because the appropriate information is not available in these tables.

Hi,

In this RSPCPROCESSLOG when actually job started date with time will get for each stage of that chain. At the scheduled time if any already process are running then this process will in stack and will execute after the resources available and this resources time will copied in to the table. Give more information if still facing same issue.

Hi Srinu,

I presume you are referring to the background jobs that are scheduled for a process chain to run.

That information will not help me at the moment.

I need the exact start time and end time of a process chain which doesn't seem to be getting filled in the start, end time stamps, batch date or batch time of RSPCPROCESSLOG.

Hi,

Start time is OK, But we know the End time in your case???? without back ground job.

I require information from a relevant table (even without a background job) because I need to populate the runtime information in an infocube/DSO.
