Actual costs in Internal Activities

Hi everyone,

I read that if you create work centers and the activities types and plan them in the KP26, you should get the actual costs of the internal activities when notifying them. However, I don't get the actual costs after notification in CN25. Is it truth that you can get actual costs after notification?

Hi,

Actual cost always come in below scenario:

After GRN if material case

Time-sheet confirmation if resource case

work center actual cost once confirm the job or prod. order.

KP26 is the demonstrate of cost calculation which will work based on work center and activity even cost center with appropriate formulas so just in KP26 we put rate for particular activity type.

Hi, Thanks for your answer. I already did that. I even get the planned costs, but when I confirm the activity I don't get the actual costs. I supposed there's something in customizing that I'm missing.

hi

Check in the reports CN41 and CJI3.whether actual costs are been displayed.

Also  Please check data base ,might be inconsistency , (CJEN)

where you are check actual cost? can you share report name or transaction or process.

such you can check in structure report cns41 cn41 and S_ALR........

If the Query is regarding the CN25 which is Confirmation of the Activity and the Actual cost posting due to the Confirmation, please read thru the discussion

Hi Lisbeth ,

1 Create Activity Type in KL01

2 Maintain Rate in KP26

3 Create Work Center & Assign the Activity type in  Work center's Costing Tab

4 Then Assign that work center in your Internal Activity (If you have single activity type the you can assign activity type in activity directly also below work center )

5 Then confirm the activity by CN25 ( Check the activity Type while confirming for reference )

6 Check your Confirmation by T code -CN48N & Check cost by T Code- KSB1 with reference to cost    center

Hi,

Follow below steps to get plan and actual cost of internal activity,

1. Crate Activity type in KP26 with rate & UOM

2. assign Activity type & work center to internal activity.

3. Assign work to the  internal activity.

4. Now you will get the plan cost of th activity.

5. Confirm the activity by CN25.

6. You will get the actual cost of the activity.

Hi Lisbeth,

Have you maintained the cost for Work Center Cost Center and Activity type in KP26 combination, with Price should be maintained in Fixed price column in current year 2014.

Then once you confirm the activities in CN25, you can check the network activities whether the status is changed to CNF.

Please attach some screenshot, so it will easy for others to check it.

Thanks for your screenshot. The activities are confirmed,  CNF status is received.

Now you need to check KP26/KP27 to check whether the cost is maintained for the cost center and the activity you entered in the project for the year 2014.

Can you please confirm that?

Hi Lisbeth,

It looks like you are confusing notification with confirmation.  Please search the forum for CN25.

There are quite a lot of master data involved, but if everything is setup as it should be, you will get actual cost through confirmation.
