SAP Router moving from one machine to other machine with diff Hostname

Dear All,

Can sap router works on new machine with same IP(old SAP Router IP) but different host name.

we are facing an issue with Multiple SAP Router downtimes, when we have done implementation had installed sap router in local kernel location of existing solution manager

So we plan to allocate new IP to solman and move this IP to new SAP Router machine.

Hostname will be different, SAP router will works ?

Yes SAP Router works on a new machine with the old SAP router IP (In case old system is not operation-able) and if you changes host name / uses different host name than it would not be work as to use a new host name you need to re register your updated hostname with SAP Marketplace to generate the certificate to make the router functional .For more details https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/saprouter-sncdoc
