User / Password error when executing BI reports on SBOB BI 4.1 Launchpad

Hi,

while exploring the demos for the SAP ERP Foundation extension for CAL errors occur in the execution of the BI reports from the SBOB BI 4.1 launchpad.

When e.g. executing the Report "Sales value overview" the following error is thrown

"The viewer could not process an event. Failed to execute query: '[10]: invalid username or password: '. Redesign your query or contact the data source maintainer to solve the problem. [JRC00005575]

---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]"

Which user / Password combination do I need to reset ?

And where ?

Thanks for any help !

hi Marcus,

I guess you used the user/pw BPINST/Welcome1 to logon to the BI launchpad?

Did you change any user in HANA DB? The error messege looks like that the request to the underlying query is refused due to invalid user/pw to HANA DB.

Normally if the default user/pw "BPINST/Welcome1" is not changed, such error should not come up.

Hi Qiahua,

I was forced to change the password of bpinst for the Lumira login. So here is another password.

Now which user is the one connecting and whos passworn needs to be changed ?

Can I do that in HANA dev studio ?

hi Marcus,

yes, you can connect to the HANA DB via HANA Studio and adjust the user/pw there.

Due to the complexity of user management, I would recommend to use BPINST/Welcome1.  Which will ensure that Fiori works fine later. With the change of BPINST password, I would expect that you will encounter problem with Fiori smart business Apps.

Actually it is strange to hear that Lumira forces you to change password...

Reset all PW to Welcome1, now it seems to work.

However, I thought setting all passwords to the same other  value should also work.

Are ther other or hidden configurations ?

hi Marcus,

if you set the pw to another one, keeping ERP, HANA, BOBJ all the same. You will need to change the PW in CMC, where the connection to HANA DB is set.

not sure what kind of configuration should be seen as hidden?
