how to increase the size of the detail section.

hi.

plz have  a look on attached file...

in  detail section i put one data base filed.

i selected can grow option.

but  entire data is not comming into first page.

some data is comming first some in second page.

Right now it is working fine.

but i need is

What ever is comming in first page.

i need to increase the height little bit more.

any idea.

but i am not able to understood how can increase the height of the field... any idea.

My client is having one business template ..They need data  is comming from b1.

i had done everything is ok

if i do adjust like sections changing.

Hi,

Is it feasible for you to increase the width of that field if there are no adjacent fields?

Check also on keep together options for that section.

Share the report if you can.

Hi you mean to say now your field is showing 21 lines of data.So you want to show more lines in a 1st page ?

yes Exactly just 5 lines.

5 lines space..

remaining it should come next page. i dont have any issue.

bcz in present i am haivng total 26 lines

21 is comming first page

remaining comming at second page.

the client is wasting extra 1 page.

in first page. i am having 5 lines space.

i all redy height increase for the particular filed but no result

not width

i dont want to increse the width

i am having only this much of space at business template.

I hope you have already checked "Can Grow" option check box.

all other fields adjacent to the one we are discussing are all coming in single line?

Is it ok to reduce the font size for that field alone to allow more lines in one page?

Hi Srini,

If there is space for 5 more lines to fit on that page CR will try to accomodate those records!

If it is being pushed to the next page, then it is enough indication that there isn't enough space left on that page.

Do you have a fixed Page Header and Page Footer? If yes, then CR will always reserve that amount of space for those two sections. Whatever is left will be taken up by the other sections based on their own height.
