Min-Max Replenishment of Fixed bins

Hi SAP Gusrus,

My client requires a strange process to be build up in SAP and I need your guidance and advice in building the process in SAP.

The process is Min-Max replenishment of fixed bins.

However the replenishment process is happening for the destination storage type/storage bin in one Storage location from source storage type/storage bin in another Storage location. The move order (in their terminology) is created automatically by the system based on the minimum and maximum quantities of the bin levels.

My problem is that in SAP, Replenishment of fixed bins happen by running tcode LP21 in background or foreground.

But as in my case the replenishment process has to happen between storage bins located in two different storage locations, how can I automate the process.

Please do let me know your advice, suggestion and opinions.

Hello

Your requirement is not for WM, it is for MRP running (MM). You can automate this process making the properly customization in MRP section where you can create distribution relationships between storage locations using MRP areas to separate stock from one stoirage location form others. The best way to do this in WM is taking into account the restrictions mentioned above by Manish, where you require to keep the stock from all storage locations in the same warehouse number.

if i understood correctly then the storage bin number will remain same only the storage location should get change after confirmation of transfer order. If that is correct then please explore the "Storage location control" in  LE ---WM ----Interface---Inventory management ---Define storage location control----storage location control in WM

Process flow should be

Allow system to create TR  / TO as a result of Replenishment

After TO confirmation system should automatically flip the storage location based on teh setting defined in the above node

The requirement is to replenish the fixed bin in a warehouse in one storage location from another warehouse in other storage location.

Will the above setting can help me to achieve the desired outcome in the above project.

nope, if you are talking about two separate warehouse then the above setting won't be useful.

Also i am wondering whether your requirement fits in Replenishment or not as you are planning to move the stock in between two separate warehouse (plant+ storage location combination) You won't be able to achieve the same using the LP21. As per my knowledge LP21 work fine within  the same warehouse number

For one plant+ sloc combination you need to look for Stock Transport order route to get it transferred but then that will not ensure that it is going to the same fixed bin (Depend on your search setting)
