How to Hide year of birth of an Employee in MSS View

Hi Experts ,

Please help me how to hide the year of birth of an employee in MSS view

In MSS Manger can view Team details , once he clicks Employee profile opens , I want to hide the year of birth

Without screen shot its hard to know exactly what you are trying to hide from where….

But , I’m guess it is the D.O.B from the short profile element of the employee profile. If so try this:

IMG: Personnel Management -> Manager Self Service (WDA) -> Profile Applications ->General Settings -> Configure Short Profile -> Configuration for Data Reterval -> Create Configuration with field groups.

• Select the row SAP_MSS_GENERAL_PROFILE (or SAP_MSS_GENPROFILE_SHORT)
• With the row selected,  navigate to the Add fields to a configuration
• Remove the row for field SAP_PS_BIRTHDATE

Hi Siva,

First identify the web-dynpro application that is responsible and run it in SE80 as an administrator and hide the fields which ever is not required. I think customization(Administrator personalization) is ideal for these types of requirement rather than enhancement.

we have a requirement where employee should able to see the DOB

but manager should not ..

I don't think HRMSS_EMP_OVERVIEW_PROFILE is viewed by employee. It is only visible for MSS role.

You can create enhancement to WDABAP application HRMSS_EMP_OVERVIEW_PROFILE and hide this field from visible field properties, You can take help of technical consultant and do it.
