html documents adopting portal theme

Hello all,

This is my first post, so please understand and be kind.

We are implementing EP6.0 SPS13 on Sun Solaris w/ Oracle. I understand that portal can and should display documents with the same look and feel as the portal theme. I gather this is done with a css file. Here is our situation:

We have configured a cm repository with FSDB persistence mode. We then added that repository to the HTML Filter for Portal Stylesheet. We have copied the default_framework and redefined it with our own components copied from com.sap.*. We created our own default_desktop and portal themes. We have created a master rule to utilize the our new default_desktop, and all works as expected and desired with the exception of documents adopting the portal theme. The documents all adopt SAP_TRADESHOW even though the rest of the portal components all adopt the portal theme, i.e. masthead, top-navigation, title page, etc.

Where have I gone wrong, or what have I overlooked?

All responses are welcome and appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Paul

PS - I am not a web or java developer.

Apparently this is a bug that is fixed with SPS 15 due to be released next week.

Thank you for your responses thus far, however I'm not certain this is the solution. I apologize for not being as thorough in providing information as I thought I was.

Further info: We are entering our documents via the online html editor, and therefore, we are not entering html code, nor do we want to. The people doing this documentation do not know html and therefore we are relying on the online html editor to provide that functionality.

Is my assumption that documents displayed within an iView in portal should adopt the look and feel (theme) of the portal wrong? The documents we have created are displayed as html and when you view source, there is an html link to the portal theme, but it is not the right portal theme. The link we see is to SAP_TRADESHOW, and we have created our own theme and assigned it to the default_desktop as the default theme. That theme is presented correctly within the portal in all cases except when displaying the documents created with the online html editor.

Thank you again for you input.

Hello again,

I have further information concerning our problem. It seems all of our html documents adopt the default theme of the default desktop at the time the portal is started. If we subsequently change the portal theme through personalization, the html documents do not adopt the new theme even though the desktop is changed to the new theme. If we change the default theme via the default desktop, new logons display the new theme, but html are displayed with the old theme. A stop and restart of the portal is required to change the html documents to display the new theme.

Is this how it is supposed to work?
