Path Status / Stage Status

Hi,

I have a request which has one path which has no stage and another path which need manager approval. Its has been working fine, but there are couple of requests which remain in Decision pending status even after the user provisioning is complete.

For the path which has no stage, Path status is stuck In Progress and Stage status is stuck Approved by UI.

The other path which need manager approval, Path status is Finished and Stage status is Stage Completed.

User got provisioned and roles assigned.

Is there any way I can manually change the Path status and Stage status or the Instance Approval status to completed?

Thanks,

Jay

Hi Jay

Did all of the MSMP steps completed and it's just the completion of the WF or are there still approval outstanding?

If MSMP finished, does SLG1 and MSMP instance run-time logs show this? What's the status of the WF in SWIA (rare you have to look there).

What SP are you on?

Trying to understand if issue is within MSMP configuration or workflow/system side.

Hi Collen / Madhu,

We are on SP 13.

MSMP instance monitor logs show the pending status too.

WF status in SWIA is Started.

Request is for new non-employees.

- The path that has no stage is for creating new user in the system.

- Path which has manager approval is for assigning roles after approval. If user does not exist in the system, config setting for provisioning such that it will allow to create user in the system and then assign the roles. So the path with no stage for user creation is kinda obsolete, but that's how the system was configured and we plan to remove this soon.

Canceling the request at this point is not an option since the user got created and provisioned through this request.

This is a one off situation, and out of 100+ requests we have 4 requests which are hanging in the pending status.

Hi Jay,

May be if you provide some more details, it will be easy to assist you.

Is your path which has no stages is being called via Routing Rule ?

Can you explain in which scenario requests go to Path with no stages?

Is it happening for all your requests or for any specific requests?

How is your Path with No stage and Path with one Stage are related?

Your Provisioning Settings - Are they set for End of Path or End of Request?

For Cancelling the Requests which are stuck

  • You can Cancel Instance by Searching the requests as Administrator from Access Management tab in NWBC.
  • Another way is to use the program "GRFNMW_MANUAL_INSTANCE_CANCEL"

Regards,

Madhu.
