what is mandatory for starting with sap MDM

Hi All,

I am sap BO consultant and want to know what is sap NetWeaver MDM and is there any mandatory domain knowledge required to start with MDM

As a BO consultant can i start learning MDM

Hi Venkat

For SAP MDM , knowledge on ECC and CRM would be very valuable. As the ultimate objective of storing the master data is to syndicate to other systems such as ECC , SRM , SCM etc.

If you know Java then it would be an added advantage as you would be able to correlate between the enterprise portal and SAP MDM integration because the UI for a Business user is Enterprise portal connected in backend with SAP MDM in order to create, change and extend the master data.

for learning the MDM no prior knowledge is required but yes to understand the Business objects you required some basic of SAP.

Since you are BO consultant you might be aware MM,Sales obje. that will be enough.
