User Status in Resource

Dear Experts,

This is Process Industry and I was working on Resource classification Usage in master recipe where i had created Characteristics( CT04) and class(CL02) and successful achieved the Resource changing Option in Process Order.

My question is that can we achieve similar control and changing Option through  Status Profile (BS02) in Resource ?

Suppose I want to create Status as UNPR( Unplanned Resource) and PLDR( Planned Resource)

When I want to save the Order, release should be rejected and by changing status from UNPR to PLDR, user can change the resource in Order

I read in Help. Sap that this can be achieved with below settings.

Request you to guide if any1 has done this before.

Hi Shailesh,

I hope your requirement is to make available the planned resource in the process order during order creation or order release.

I will suggest instead of making the status as UNPR( Unplanned Resource) and PLDR( Planned Resource) you create the characterstic Resource and the characterstic value as Planned and unplanned resource.

You classify the resource with class type 019 and assign the class in the resource.

Now in the recipe you maintain the resource selection criteria as PLDR in the operation.

So when you create or release the order only Planned resource will be available and even if you put unplanned resource the order will not accept.

Thanks for your reply. But my question was, do we can put some control mechanism in Process Order Release by Creating a User status in Resource.? Answer is yes.

All you have to do the below steps.

Create Status Profile,   ZPI00001 Resource Status BS02

2) Set Forbidden status for release

3) Set Allow status for release

and save the profile

4) Go to Spro as below and assign your User Profile to 0008 Category.

Save it.

5) Go to CRC1, create your Resource. and in Basic data, User status will appear as below and save the resource. Assign this resource in master recipe for the required Material and try to make the order.

6) Release rejected Pop Up will show up which was my requirement.

Checking in Log, you can see that release is rejected.

Now,even with User Status Profile, control your Resource Planning. I just did lot of testing before arriving at this conclusion.
