KA03: Cost element category F4 not working

Hi,

We have an issue in KA03, where the drop down for cost element category gives junk characters, when we select a particular cost element category in the F4 help.

Any cost element category selected, populates the field with either some alphabets or a blank space.

If we type in the cost element category, it works fine...

Its only the F4 that's troubling us...

Please help advise...

Hi Saba,

if you are currently on basis release SAPKB73112 or SAPKB74007 then the likely solution is to apply SAP Note 1966121 as an incomplete version of the note was released with those support packages.

Please let me know if applying SAP Note 1966121 fixed the issue for you so that I can check for further solutions if necessary.

Hi Saba,

Check with your basis team when it might be any authorization issue. And also check with other user  who is able to view it by pressing F4.

Please find below the screenshot:

When I click on the small yellow arrow on the right & select a cost element category, like say 43...the field gets populated with some random text like shown above...

Please check the entries in table DD07T, for domain KATYP and your log on language.

Hello Szymon,

I see all the 16 entries in this table that the drop down for Cost element category shows me.

Its just that dear F4 does not "detect" these properly in KA03
