Hi all,

Could someone tell me how to send SAP Script output to Mail and Fax. I Made the modifications for Order Confirmation program but when I try to test it I am not able to see the result.

Could someone tell me how to go about with the Test case and where to see the result.

Thanks & Regards,

Joseph Reddy.

Hi,

I think you can go to NACE transaction. After that you should choose Application V1 and press the button "Output types" on the top.Search for order confirmation output type and then check for its processing routines(found on the left of the screen). There you can assign Medium as FAX.I hope this helps you.

Vivek

Transaction SOST will hold the emails/faxes. It's like a spool file. You can view facsimiles of them and (if your system is configured properly) you can actually dispatch them so that they go to the fax or email destination they hold.

Hi Neil,

I am able to see the entries in SOST but the user is complaining that he not getting the mails to his INBOX. Is there any configuration changes that are to be done for this or how to proceed further.

Thanks in Advance,

Joseph.

Hai YJ,

You need to create communication starategy and assign it to the communication medium at the condition record maintanace editor.I assume you are trying to send external mail.

you need to save the addresses and communication methods in central address management. Select Tools ® Business Communication, Office ® Addresses ® External Companies/Contact Person.

Let me know if you need more help.

Thank you.

Hi,

What is the status you see at the transaction code SOST level.

Is your system confgiured to send a external mail i.e required basis setting have been done?.

Basically there is a HTTP port need to be opened to facilitate sending external mails.

Go to SBWP and compose a message and send it to a external mail id.So that you can confirm that system is able to send external mail.

Will help you to resolve the issue.

Thank you.

Hi Karun,

The status which I see in the transaction code SOST is "Wait for Communication Service".

When I tried to send using SBWP transaction code also am getting the same message "Wait for Communication Service".

Could you please help me with this issue.

Thanks & Regards,

Joseph.

Hi,

Consult with your BASIS consultant to carry out the necessary basis setting like confiuring the node in SCOT transaction and defining HTTP type RFC destination using SM59 and opening up the port.

Once they done this , you should be able to send out a external mail.

Thank you.
