Datasource can not be collected with grouping Data Flow Before in BI content 757

Hi guys,

I get an issue related to collect object with grouping Data Flow Before in BI Content.

My BI content package has version 757

BI_CONT    757    0003    SAPK-75703INBICONT    0000    -    @6H\QAchieved with Support Package@    Business Intelligence Content

Specific issue's like below,

I want to install some infoProviders such as InfoCube 0PUR_C04 or infoObject 0MMPUR_CHA01

I chose these obtional in BI Content, below :

     Grouping : Data Flow Before

     Collection mode : Automatically

When I collect data flow of InfoProvider, the objects collected just go to InfoSources level.

DataSources can not be collected in data flow.

But when i try to collect data flow (Data Flow Before) of InfoSource, the DataSource can be collected.

I don't know why or how to collect directly DataSource in data flow of InfoProvider in this BI content version.

Anyone can help me solve this problem.

I faced the same problem with the same version of BI content.

Hi Yaroslav Lukin,

I think the problem related to replicate datasource.

I tried and succeeded.

RSA1=>Modeling=>DataSource

Execute replicating function.

Notice to Metadata Replication Popup.

On it, you choose Deletion BW datasources option, if you choose No delete, it will happen like issue.

I tried to choose Delete BW datasource, and replicate.

It was okay.

Hi Dennis,

In my case the solution was in following actions:

1. Added roles and authorities for user (ALEREMOTE) under which the RFC-connection is maintained

Read best paractice "BW1: BW Basic Connectivity"

2. Activated all relevant datasources in RSA5 in ECC side.

p.s.

Metadata replication popup window in BW i kept by default.

Your steps were just related to Activating DataSources in ECC and Replicating to BI.

I know them and did completely like that.

But the problem after that, actually, I don't know why.

I solved it by change options in Metadata Relication Popup like I said ^_^.

If you know the reason clearly, can share with us.

HI,

select the grouping option - only necessary objects

drag the 0PUR_C04 or infoObject 0MMPUR_CHA01 in to right side panel.

install the objects.

we know purchase data source like HDR,ITM,SCL data sources.

if you select the indata flow before - it will install the all objects like data soruce and info source and related obejcts.

if not install properly use the only necessary objects and try to install.

Hi Phani,

So my purpose's install data flow of infoCube include : infoCube, related infoObjects, infoSources and DataSources, therefore, i chose grouping Data Flow Before, with grouping Only necessary objects, i cannot do what i want.

But, in this version of BI content, I just collected them to InfoSource Level, and couldn't collect DataSources.

It's my problem.

HI,

first come out form the BI content and again go to the BI content.

if you know info soruce we will know data source name

info soruce and data source name same as well

install the saparete for the data source.

some time it will happen while installing the objects

Actually, i tried a lot times.

I got out and back again to RSA1, nothing's different.

I also know we can collect datasources from infosources, and i did that to solve my problem temporarily in this BI content version.

Please help me to solve the problem

Why with InfoSource and Data Flow Before grouping, we can collect Datasource.

But, with InfoCube and Data Flow Before grouping, we cannot collect Datasource, just go to InfoSource Level.

And I checked in the previous version of BI content, it didn't get this issue.

Maybe, this issue happen in new version of BI content.
