Hi all,
we created roles in English but now the users all log on in German. Now we are facing the issue that users can`t change the long text or description of the roles when they are logged on in German.
"You can only maintain role texts if logged on in original language XX Texts for the role exist in language XX, Use transaction SE63 to translate missing texts"
We can translate description and long text to German but then users still can't change them logged on in German.
Is it possible to change the original language to German or add German as a second language because Key Users need to note their role changes in German?
Thanks very much in advance!
Manuel
Hi Manuel,
Note 854311 - Check the additional solution section includes the solution.
The note includes an report which can be used to change the masterlanguage.
We already use this report Z_ROLE_SET_MASTERLANG.

Hi Manuel,
Could you please try setting up German as the secondary language and see if this helps.
As i don't think if the original language can be interpreted into some other languages unless the secondary language is in place.
Will check for the alternative approach if therebis any.
Regards,
Ameet
