Demand Planning Characteristics

Hi Forum,

I am setting up a DP solution and want to keep my DP CVC characteristics to a minimum but I want to be able to have a larger selection option in my
Interactive DP selection box. For example, I want ‘customer’ as a CVC characteristic, but want the ‘customer region’ attribute to be able to be selected and filtered in in the DP selection box. But not a CVC characteristic entered when creating the CVC.

I have looked at Navigational attributes, as this sounds like what I need...but adding one of those makes it a CVC characteristics that needs population when the CVC is created.

I see display characteristics, but I can’t see how to use those at all, they don’t seem to be viewable in the interactive DP book?

Maybe I have not explained this well enough, 42 views but no responses...

I want Customer as a CVC characteristic that the user would manually create using MC62, but when in the interactive planning book I want the user to be able to use the selection box to pick Region. And this would filter by all the customers attributed to that region.

I dont want the user to have to maintain 'Region' when creating the CVC in MC62.  It should be pulled by a mapping table in APO BW infoobject?

Can anyone help, my prototype shows that navigational attribute still required the user to enter the Region in MC62 CVC creation.

Hi,

You can use an infoprovider (Cube) to create CVCs where region will be populated as soon as the Customer is updated. But if you want to create manually, you have to use Region as a characteristic and a value had to be entered.
