CIM_ERR_FAILED

Hi,

During a transport from our DEV to QA we faced the following issue :

"CIM_ERR_FAILED: SAP_BusinessSystem.CreationClassName="SAP_BusinessSystem",Name="BCD" referenced by association SAP_BusinessSystemExchangeServer.Antecedent=ref"

SAP_BusinessSystem.CreationClassName=\"SAP_BusinessSystem\

",Name=\"PO_DEV\"",Dependent=ref"SAP_BusinessSystem.

CreationClassName=\"SAP_BusinessSystem\",Name=\"BCD\"" does not exist.

SAP_BusinessSystemExchangeServer.Antecedent=ref"

SAP_BusinessSystem.CreationClassName=\"

SAP_BusinessSystem\",Name=\"PO_DEV\"",

Dependent=ref"SAP_BusinessSystem.CreationClassName

=\"SAP_BusinessSystem\",Name=\"BCD\""

BCD is our integration server in dev and should it also be set up in QA?

Any help is appreciated...

Could be something dealing with your SLD configuration.

There's a lot of literature concerning whether to have a single SLD or several SLD, groups configuration.

In your case my guess is you have 2 SLD's, and I think the source system should exists in the receiving SLD as well, and then by means of groups that should be switched automatically from DEV to QA.

Hi Alessandro,

Thanks..Yes we do have 2 SLD's and I think that could be the error..I am going to set up the source system in the target and check it out.

Did you apply any SPs ? If yes, go to SLD and Import the newer version of objects of cimsap.zip

Hi Shravan,

Yes we did apply new SP..But it was applied across all SLD's. isn't the CIMSAP.zip part of the post installation activities??

Yes, it supposed to be. But sometimes it is not updated and you have to do it manually. Give it a shot.
