Hi,
We are using Dotnet web forms for launching the report. For a particular report we are getting the following error
Error in File
C:\Windows\TEMP\reportfilename {254BB3A7-463A-4309-9154-6DEDEF39EF84}.rpt:
The request could not be submitted for background processing.
This error is not consistant, some time the report is getting launched. For the same data when we try again we are getting this issue. I am not able to rectify it. How can i overcome this issue ?
OS : Windows Server 2012
Crystal Version : Crystal Report 2008 (RTM) version.
From the nature of this error, it could be caused by almost anything on the machine.
lets start with compatibility.
What version of VS are you using?
Not all CR 2008 SPs support WIn 2012, which SP are you using with CR 2008?
Upgrade CR 2008 to Sp7 and see if the issue occurs.

Hi,
Adding on to Bhushan's suggestions, you can get a better error message from the report engine. The error you are getting looks like it's bring returned by your application.
The message is very generic so getting the report to return an error would help, especially if the error is intermittent.
Good luck,
Brian
To get SP 7, you will have to contact sales (unless you have a login ID for the SAP Market Place). Sales ph: 866-681-3435

Also, enter the search term 'crystal net background' in the search box in the top right corner. Then filter for Support Notes under Assets. See the KBAs for more info.
