Bex Analyzer Report: Values doesn't get displayed while filtering for Variable Ranges, but works for Single Value Variable

Dear All,

In a Bex Analyzer report, when I execute the report with Single Value for Fiscal year/period Variable, it works fine.

But whenever I try to filter it through the filter pane inside, it doesn't work and the report displays blank values.

Also whenever I try to put up Value Ranges as shown below in the screenshot, it doesn't work.

Please help to sort out this problem.

Hi Pankaj

Its useful to have a look at the cmod code written using the fiscal year/period as customer exit variable. From the screenshots, it seems you are calculating Last year data, achievement in prev month and so on which means you are using the period given in variable input as the base for calculating all these.

Please have a look into the restrictions in the structure and the code written in cmod for fiscal year period.

Did you check the format you are using may be you are using 2014/009 but the field takes as 2014009

Are you using filter pane inside the BEx Analyzer report after putting some value in variable screen ?

While using the report filter pane you need to use some signs , please check that.

Yes I am using the filter pane inside the Bex Analyzer report after putting some value in variable screen.

The data gets displayed, but when I try to filter it using the filter pane, the report gets blank. Moreover fiscal year/period char is there in free characteristics, when I try to filter it through the pane using value ranges, the output is like the one in the 2nd screenshot.

value ranges have data in target same value ranges give in target check it first.

if have data in target you will get the data.

Hi ,

Drill down fiscal year/period char in report after query executed and now try to apply filter depending on data that is available after drill down into rows.

May be for the given selctions in value range doesn't contain data.

Hi Pankaj ,

There might be two reasons :

1. You are trying to filter something which you have not entered in variable screen .

E.g. If you enter Year 2014 and try to put a filter of 2015-2016 inside the report it won't work.

Please try to remove the filter in variable screen in the first place and then use the filter pane in the report or use filter range in variable screen itself.

2.If there is any customer exit written then there may be any issue .
