SAP GUI 7.40 with BW 7.3

Hello Experts,

We are currently using SAP GUI 7.20 SP17 which is no longer maintained by SAP.

We would like to upgrade our SAP GUI and SAP Frontend GUI with the latest version : SAP GUI 7.4

My question is : Is it possible to use the new SAP GUI 7.4 with BW 7.3 ? Or is it mandatory to upgrade BW with the latest version, I mean BW 7.4 ?

Compatibility - 7.30 / 7.40

Just like older SAP GUI releases SAP GUI for Windows 7.30 and 7.40 are
compatible with all releases of SAP products which are supported by SAP (this
includes releases in extended maintenance and releases newer or equal to SAP R/3
3.1i in customer specific maintenance).

As of SAP GUI for Windows 7.30
the BW Frontend Tools are no longer part of the standard SAP GUI delivery. In
case this has an impact for you please consult SAP note 1652771.

Hello Hugo,

Many thanks. It means that it's possible to use the new SAP GUI 7.4 with SAP BW 7.3 while this version of BW is supported by SAP.
