Weekly to Monthly payroll

Hi Experts,

We have had a request in to change a payroll area from weekly paid to monthly paid. I have never under taken a task like this before and was wondering if any one has some advice or a guide on the congfig changes that need to be done please?

Any help is massively apperciated.

Hi Myron,

1st of all you can't change the payroll area mid of the month so for this you will create a monthly payroll area and will assign to all employees after completion of the current payroll period run.

Hi Myron

Well this willnot be very simple, but please go through the below and do teh full testing out

1) Define a new payroll area ( i.e Monthly) and make sure all the configurration related to the payroll area is done such as payroll calendar, different dates (posting dates...)...

2) Move all the employees to (you should do a pilot first if you have big population) the new payroll areas after finishing the last monthly payroll run

3) review the scheduling for payroll run or subsequent activities

4) review payroll to FI posting calendar including Month end accural schedule with FI team

5) review the Payroll  file process/scheduling with the bank
