Hi all,
I have copa item level datasource loading into an ODS. This datasource supports delta, I went in Roosource and Rodeltam table - and saw that this datasource supports Additive delta process. My question is since I am loading data to an ODS what do I have to select the update method (Overwrite or Addition) for both keyfields and datafields.
please let me know.
thanks,
Sabrina.
hi,
Since the datasource is supporting Additive delta .
and the staging is PSA->ODS.
So for the datafields go for the Addition you dont have this option for the key fields because it has to be 1 - 1 mapping.
hope this helps.

Hi sabrina,
The Field 0RECORDMODE is needed for the delta load and is added by the system if a datasource is delta capable. In the ODS object the field is generated during the creation process.
To call up the documentation on 0RECORDMODE ( BW delta process ) call txn SE11 , display datatype RODMUPDMOD -> documentation . Here u will find more useful information on the 5 possible features for infoobject 0RECORDMODE( space,X,A,D,R)
Hi Sabrina adding to the above
If u have additive delta
For attributes that can be aggregated , only the change is transferred. For attributes that cannot be aggregated , the status after a record has been changed or created is transferred. Thsi record can replace an after image and a before image if there are no aggregation attributes.
Hope this helps

Majeed
