SUM tool issue with user in extraction phase.

Hi Experts,

I have initiated EHP upgrade from SAP ERP6 EHP4 to EHP7.

Have downloaded required dumps from MOPZ and started SUM tool of SP11 with <TCMADM> user.

we were able to start the SUM tool and created a user at first login and in the extraction phase it gave the below error.

on the current host server we have two instances SPT & TCM, recently we have installed SPT and upgraded IS-UT component so for that the same SUM tool was used.

now we tried to provide same user while connecting to SUM tool but its still throwing same error.

i have tried deleting the old SUM folder which was used to upgrade SPT instance.

now am using a fresh extraction dump and starting the SUM but still in extraction phase its asking for SPTADM user only.

Please suggest.

Hi Sagar,

Delete all the SUM directory from the previous update.

Extract the SUM directory in /usr/sap/TCM/ and then continue the upgrade.

Moreover remove the DIR_PUT parameter from SPT instance. profile.

it worked, i have extracted the SUM tool in the TCM directory and started the SUM tool it worked.
