Urgent issue, Suddenly no data is extracted Once I create new infopack

Former Member

Hi,

I have an urgent issue and need help.

We were loading data after activating business content. Every thing worked fine and the delta load was also smooth.

However, in order to start everything afresh, I deleted all the info package, deleted the "Intialization option for the source system" AND then created my infopackage for Full upload with initialize option.

In this case the extractor didn't find any data. Please see the following log from the monitor "status " Tab.

"No data available

Diagnosis

The data request was a full update.

In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not

contain any data.

System response

Info IDoc received with status 8.

Procedure

Check the data basis in the source system."

This is not correct since we were loading data ( full and delta ) successfully before and there are data in the system. This is most probably to do with the delta queue initialization in the source system.

We were looading data from datassource 0CRM_SALES_ORDER_I.

Please help, we are really stuck.

Thanks

Arunava

Hi Arunava,

Please try to delete init in the scheduler and make a full load.

Best regards,

Eugene,

Thanks for putting your attention to this issue.

This, in my opinion is the most wired issue I have ever came accross.

The sugession that you have provided is tried a lot of times already, I have even went ahead and started from the beginning ( replicating the data source, re generating the transfer and update rule etc AFTER deleting the "Init in the scheduler" as suggested by you.

Still the same issue persist. When I do an init it brings no data , but it makes the Data source appear in the RSA7 with Total as 0 in the SOURCE CRM system. Now If I create a order using the transaction in the CRM, the total field increaes. From now on it even is successful in delta and brings the newly created order in BW. It makes me think that the overall delta is working fine, but some how it's not getting reinitialized in the source system.

Please look into this again.

Thanks

Arunava

Hi All,

Ultimately I was able to solve this on my own and want to share this very important info with you.

What I did before: I am not sure whether I am able to maintain all the steps... but I am trying my best

1> In BW: Delete the ODS content, all request. Delete the init request from the info pack scheduler that also automatically deleted the RSA7 entry in the CRM SYSTEM.

2> In CRM : BWA5 Activate the data source again

3> In CRM : RSA5 transferred the data source again

4> In BW : Deleted the datasource-infosource assignment, replicated the datasource, regenerate the transfer rule

5> Started loading data after creating info pack initially with Full and then Init option...

I was never able to load Full load or even though the init was successful to initialize, I was not getting the existing data. However after the successful init I was able to extract the delta load.

Solution:

After spending quite some time and even raising this issue to SAP, I was not getting any closer. Most of the suggestions suggest that it has to do with authorization of the background user.

But I always suspected that this is not the case (as I was able to do delta load with the same data source) as well as it pointed to some issue in the delta queue.

Ultimately the transaction BWA7 was able to solve this issue. I selected the data source and clicked the "Stop delta or initial Update" and that solved everything and I am able to do init/full and delta as well

I really don't understand it full, and hope to some more deliberation on this here.

Thanks

Arunava

hi Anurava,

take a look oss note 692195, i think authorization issue

oss 692195

Question 2 : On executing transaction RSA3 I get records but I find 0

records when I load data from BW request.(No Data Available).

How can I extract data in this case?

Suggestion 2: First check if there are any entries in the table

CRMD_ORDER_INDEX.Only if there are entries in this table you can

extract records.

If this is not the case then,

It is possible that the user does not have sufficient

authorities for extraction of the relevant objects.

Additionally, please review and implement the following notes

615670

161570

150315

618953

If you are in the release 4.0 then

To do BW extraction with the user please see that the following

authorization object exists(display mode is enough):

CRM_ACT, CRM_OPP, CRM_LEAD, CRM_SAO, CRM_SEO, CRM_CO_SE, CRM_CO_SC

CRM_CO_SA, CRM_CON_SE, CRM_CMP, CRM_ORD_OP, CRM_ORD_LP, CRM_ORD_PR

CRM_ORD_OE, CRM_CO_PU, CRM_CO_PD, CRM_ORD_PO

(all these objects are linked to transaction crmd_order).

Hi AHP,

This is not a security /access issue. I have been loading this perticular for a long time. This problem only started today as i have mentioned. Also I have been abel to extract other related CRM data without any issue.

I must have screwed the whole delta queue while in the process. Please let me know how to start fresh, ( I have already done from replicating the data source, regenerating the transfer rule etc... ) but it didn't help.

Also if you find the OSS note as mentioned by you, please do post it.

Thanks

Hi Christian,

The issue in th eother post is different( qty changed doesn't trigger delta extraction). where as my problem is a little different. for me the whole thing was working fine, but after deleting all info pack, ods data and deletiung the entry in RSA7 in the source system, now I am even not able to do a full load, the system status is showing there is no data selected.

Thanks

hi Anurava,

Full upload with initialize option ?

a bit confuse ... what's the meaning ?

i think you have to load with 'initialize', not full update, please try

hi Christian,

for crm 0crm_sales_order_i no need to run setup tables.

Hi AHP,

As far as I knew there are two way to do Full load

The first one is Full upload radio button in the info pack and the 2nd one is the "Initialize Delta Procee" radio button without selecting the " Initialize without vdata transfer" check box.

However this is not the problem. My problem is whether I select the 'Full upload' or the 'Initialize Delta Procee' no data is comming from the CRM system to BW. The status monitor is having the following message

"No data available

Diagnosis

The data request was a full update.

In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not

contain any data.

System response

Info IDoc received with status 8.

Procedure

Check the data basis in the source system."

However RSA3 selects data in the source system. I was also using the same staging to load data( full/delta etc) for a long time earlier. The problem started after I deleted the " Inital option for the source system' in the infopack, deleted the ODS data and deleted the RSA7 entry in the crm system.

The problem can best be described as " Data selected in RSA3... But BW Load gets no data"..

thanks,

Arunava

hi,

there is oss note for rsa3 have data but bw extracted no data, will search and back to you.

meanwhile please check the authorization for background user used in crm to extract data, try to grant SAP_ALL, similar problems happened in this forum.

Hi,

I haven't worked with CRM extraction myself so this is a bit of a guess ...

Anyway for extraction of sales orders from R/3, extraction using init/full load is done from a separate setup table, due to data volume considerations. This setup table need to be initialized on R/3 side (using a special transaction) for the extraction to return any data for a init/full. Could it be that you have missed any such activity in CRM for sales orders?

Check this post for example:

Not completely the same problem, but it might be related.

Also according to

transactions bwa5 and bwa7 might be of interest.

Regards,

Christian
