BOM in Picking ( delivery)

Hi, Experts,

i have 3 questions related to the topic.

1. I can only pick BOM header material in delivery, and all item material is marked grey, not maintainable. Could any one tell me how / where this is configured ?

2. how to check a material in bom is stock relevant or not / even more basic -

3. how to tell generally whether a material is stock relevant regardless BOM or not in BOM ? whether the plant view is maintained in MM01 ?

Actually in BOM header pricing, sub items are not relevant for pricing and we dont deliver the sub items that is the reason why for delivery item category TAE relavant for picking is unflagged and sub items are just for display in delivery document why because main item itself consist of all the sub items for example Computer itself is combination of cpu, monitor, keyboard and mouse so in this case computer is relevant for pricing and components are just to display what are all components included in the computer.

But in case of BOM item pricing, only subitems are relevant for delivery main item is for just for display based on clients requirement we can use any one

I believe the setting in the Delivery Item cat. defines whether the item is pickable or not

I still have the following question, could u pls kindly answer ?

1. Is it correct, if item is not picking relevant, that is the reason why item stock wont be effected ?

2. At the moment, both Header mat and item have price, but in sales order, the total price would be the sum of all item prices , regardless of price of header material. My question is how is that defined ?

3. how to define, if a material is stock relevant or not ?

Hi Recke,

     1. The reason why stock won't be affected for sub items is in schedule line category CT (BOM Header pricing sub items and BOM item pricing mainitem) movement type field is blank and relavant for delivery is check that is reason items will determined into delivery document and stock wont be affected.

     2. In BOM header pricing only main item is relevant for pricing sub items are not relavant for pricing and the control is in TAE item category pricing field is blank. Even you maintain price for sub items that will not be determined in to sales document but incase of BOM item pricing sub items are relavant for pricing and the item category for sub items is TAN.

     3. Material creation is same for BOM items also but as per Item category and schedule line category determinations in the sales document material behaviour changes.

You can check the list of materials in mm60 and also check the table in se16 t code table is STPO you can check the materials which relates to BOM

do u mean in mm60 , we can see if a material is in which plant, and thus whether it is stock relevant ?but how is the material configured to be stock relevant or not ?
