Regarding OPK8 settings

Hi Experts ,

I want to know printer specification setting in OPK8 .

As seen below , I understand that if the Work Center printer is checked , shop paper would get print on WC printer.

1)I need to know the difference between selection of printers in second last Column .there are three drop downs.

     a. select printer from user master.

     b. select printer from user defined printer profile.

     c. select printer from MRP determination of printer .

2) In the last column , if the the output device is hardcoded , then it would print in that printer bypassing all the conditions in previous row??

I have F1 on those columns but could not understand completely.

01  Means it is printed on user profile default printer

02  Printed on defined printer In OPK8 Spool parameters for user

03  Printer determined based on MRP controller

If you have hard coded in your print form programme then yes it would have priority.

01: is for what we defined in User master SU3.

02:  The Printer which we defined in spool parameters for users.

I need to understand the condition where 02 is defined and output device is also defined.

And with 02 ,if you are defining "output Device".....then I understand that at first place it will give to the priority to the printer defined in "spool parameter for user"  and secondly to the output device defined in printer specification. OR the printer defined in output device column  will bypass the 02 and the print would come from output device.??

Can you please confirm.

For 03 , where is the printer defined based on MRP controller.

What is significance of the last column "Output Device".

Hello Rakesh

Output device is your printer. Your system admin must have creted your printers in the system, therefore, you must check the desired printer name with him. Otherwise, use LOCL for the local default printer assigned to each computer.

If you want to use the option 3, you must create an entry for each MRP controller (instad of *) on OPK8 and define a printer on the field output device.
