Create account xxx for xx as a cost element in controlling area xxx

Hi

We have Z functionality developed  for producing the  end product for this we are calling the BAPI BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to post the goods movement , in this case bapi post mvt type 531 to produce the end product and consume the component of the BOM through 261 mvt.

When i we use FERT material type( as final product)  to generate from  ROH material  (as component ) this functionality works fine , But when we use ROH material type( as final product)  to generate from  ROH material (as component ) we are getting the error like Create account xxx for xx as a cost element in controlling area xxx message no KI 280.

We don't use CO module.

Can you please explain what i am doing wrong here or there is any need to pass any other parameter in the bapi to post the movements ???

Hi, Please follow the below procedure.

Error indicate that you have created cost center , cost element and all, But some how, it mayy be any reason, The system wants to create as a cost element and control it.

So we have to make it for control that account by system.

Please follow- T Code- KA01,

In cost element give gl Account - for example- 400000.

CElem category - 1

then in default acc assignment tab- Give your cost center

then enter, save.

Analyze first  if the error is specific to your BAPI or caused by standard SAP settings.

For this try to do the same posting manually in MIGO.

Hi Jurgen,

I have tried manually also and it didn't give any error and also when i change the material type from ROH to FERT  , system allow me to post the transaction without any error but while using the same material as ROH i am getting this error

I get no error in MIGO if I produce a FERT

Please consult with the FI consultant, it may be some issue with G/L account which was assigned in the OBYC.

I have checked with FI person but they are not able to identify the problem here as system is allowing the manual posting

It gives a way to avoid KI280 as it is sometimes hardcoded
