SAP Installation error:key not valid for use in specified state?

Hi experts,

i am upgrading a client SAP business one 9.0PL09 to PL12 but in the upgrade process the license manager and most install files got errors.

we uninstalled and try installing the files from the upgrade packages folder but we get the error below;

any idea how to solve this error?

    Hi Doku,

    Have you problem solved ? Based on my experience, in windows server 2012, 2008R2 this issue is not happened.

    This issue happened in laptop with OS win 7 pro, win 8 and win 8.1

    if this issue happened in your laptop, you can try to install it in another user profile in your laptop

    because there is no authorization for your current user profile to install SAP B1 client. Check it in the control panel --> manage user account.

    So, login to laptop using the other account and then install the SAP b1 again.

    Hi,

    Please post complete error message here.

    Check whether below SAP note applicable to your issue.

    1719406 - "Error 1402 Could not open key" appears when
    installing/upgrading the SAP Business One client
