RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE 00024

Dear Experts,

Recently I got a new machine and with it a newly installed SAP GUI 730 Patch 0.

The issue is that if I open any query in the BEx Query Designer in the development system, it gives an error:

Terminate: Unexpected error: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE - 00024invalid gui data: dialog step number missing

Our local helpdesk taking care of installations is not able to help us as this issue occurs only when opening a query in development system. For all other systems (in display mode), it works fine.

Please let us know any pointers you may have.

Hi Abhishek Rajan,

Can you please apply latest patch of SAP GUI for Windows 7.30  and

latest patch for BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.30 and check whether it helps you.

Thanks for the responses. From all the replies, it seems that installation of the latest patch is the suggested solution.

Hi,

Please refer to below wiki and perform a complete re-installation
of the GUI and frontend.

This document will provide you the steps for correctly installing the GUI frontend.

Hi,

Please uninstall and again reinstall the SAP GUI frontend with the latest available Patch for SAP GUI 730.

This should make your Query Designer work.
