colour in abap-editor since GUI 740

Hi,

i have changed the GUI from 730 to 740. Now i have a strange behavior in abap-editor.

In GUI 730 all are blue, green and black. In 740 i get the obove colours.

I tried some Parameter Setting for the Editor.

Has anyone an idea what i can do to get the same result in 740?

Regards, Dieter

Hi Dieter,

Need Not worry you can easily manage the color schemas. Click on the Icon on the right lower part of your editor(Marked in red below), Now you will be having options called as Fonts and colors to maintain different colors for kerywords, etc(Marked In red below). By this way you can manage the color schemas, browse through this option you will learn more.

Please get back if you still have any issues.

Satish

Hi Satish,

thanks for your answer. I know this way and i use the standart. In my case if i have a

syntax-error, color red shell be used. But in my example there is no syntax-error and i'm

confused why it will be red.

Regards, Dieter.

Hi Dieter,

see also Sap note 1978560 - SAP GUI 740 requires RND & scanner adjustments

and other notes.

SAP as we know it - customer is the cheapest tester - customer will even pay for it 🙂

Hi Clemens,

i took a look into this note.

I will wait until SAP published a patch for GUI 740.

You may have a look at the comments here .

@Thomas Chrastina wrote a workaround:

Update changed file where editor settings are stored ->"C:\Users\<system_username>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\SAP GUI\ABAP Editor\abap_spec.xml". It added few lines, but completely ignored custom settings(color setting etc.). I manually compared and edited it using my backup version. I don't think there's easier solution.

Hi,

i deinstalled GUI 740, and installed 730 patch 10 again. I think there are too much problems.

Same issue. I had my comment lines set to color red in 7.30 SP 6, then upgraded to 7.40 SP 0. Now sometimes some words are marked in color red (with no logic why sometimes he does and sometimes it is normal).

Found no solution yet.
