Hi,

Add DB2 User ID in Windows admin group and try stoping and starting database.

Check no db2 related processes are running before resuming the process in SAPINST.

For the other error try using the SAPINST tool from the media files or upgrade the existings one.

IMP:

DB2 8.1 is out of support for WINDOWS 2008 server. Use higher DB2 version than 8

Hi Abhijit

DB2 8.1 not support Windows 2008 server you have to select DB2 version 9.5 & above, DB2 8.1 version supported only windows 2003  Could you check the SAP PM link

Hi Abhijit,

For your DB creation error , refer to below link , if it is helpful

http://www.dbforums.com/showthread.php?1698986-Database-Create-Error

Check if antivirus installed has included your DB2 directories starting with /db2/***

Hi Abhijit,

Ensure that all files are allowed both read and write access.

Check for unnecessary blank spaces within the specified filename.

Also check the user and its roles.
