Calendar button not displaying when selecting date range

Former Member

Hello,

We're using Crystal Reports version 14.0.4.738.  After the user opens a report he attempts to enter the values of the data range he would like to see but when clicking on the calendar button nothing happens so he can't get the data he wants for a specific date range.

Some users are able to enter a date range using the calendar button while others are not.

Has anyone seen this before or have any suggestions?

Any help is appreciated.

Form my experience with Citrix, problems such as this are invariably caused by permission issues. You may want to check Citrix forums. You may also want to use Process Monitor and check the logs for warnings and errors (Access Denied, etc.).

Hi Brad,

Try replacing the 'prompting' folder on the machine where this doesn't work with the same folder from a machine where it works.

It can be found under:

C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports 2011\crystalreportviewers\prompting

Also, the Prompt Screen is HTML based, so make sure there aren't any policies or settings that might be causing an issue on some users' machines.

Abhilash,

The prompting folder doesn't exist for any of the users.  The group that it works for and the group that it doesn't work for.

All have Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports 2011 and then ChartSupport is the only folder at the level.

Hi Brand,

Is crystal version is same for working and non working users ?  Also check the operating system for both working and non working systems.

Also check control panel regional settings for these systems.

Thanks,

Crystal is the same version for both users which the users are accessing through Citrix.  The Citrix environment is Windows Server 2008 R2.  The Citrix environment is XenApp 6.5.

Regional settings all match on the machines

Hi Brad,

I checked up Crystal Reports 2013 PAM document and it says Citrix XenApp 6.5 supported with reference to XenApp 6.0.

XenApp6.5 is supported by reference to XenApp 6.0

Below is the URL to find this document.  I'm not sure what is this statement all about.
