Hi All,

I've started deploying HANA and I'm new to this area.

On trying to install HANA database server, Given below is the error details

and part of the log file is bellow : (the full log is in attachement)

Hi Yacine,

You can have a look at . I've read your log file and the error is due to importing the DU of SAPUI5 automatically which is the largest DU out of all automatic installed DUs. Once I had the same problem when I used rev. 60. with limited memory about only 20GB. I tried several times then, sometimes with error, sometimes without error. But when I turned to a machine with more memory, always no error. At that time I guessed the reason is because of the limited memory.

Anyway, from the log message, now you use rev. 82, you can try ./hdblcmgui --action=install --hdbinst_server_import_content=off which was mentioned in the above thread and try to import DUs manually afterwards.

I followed your steps and I got it installed without error

but how to install those skipped packages can you tell me the steps

You can follow Import a Delivery Unit - SAP HANA Developer Guide - SAP Library or you can use SAP HANA Studio. File -> Import -> Delivery Unit -> Choose target system -> Server -> Select File -> Finish

Usually the automatic installed DUs are under /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/hdb/auto_content

I think you can follow line 512 in the log file.

"05:09:16.632 - INFO:       Output line 79: MinPatchNumberCheck.sh: The current SAP host agent patch number is 142. It has to be at least 153. Download the latest version of SAP Host Agent from SAP Service Marketplace and start hdbinst using the option --host_agent_package. It will be updated automatically."
