Hi experts,
Would it work installing a BPC MS 7.5 multi-server installation with SQL Server 2008 running separatelly on a Windows Server 2012?
Can you point any reason this would not work?
Only SQL Server 2008 and Analysis Services 2008 will be installed on separate Windows Server 2012 machines, the BPC Application servers will be on Windows Server 2008. From my knowledge only the databases are installed on the SQL/OLAP servers and BPC does not install other components on these servers. Therefore I don't see a reason why this would not work, but I still have a doubt.
Thanks, Alex
Hi Alex,
Installing SQL Server 2008 and Analysis Services 2008 on a separate Server Win2012 Is a good idea. I do not see any issue here. Keeping BPC application server in 2008 is not a show stoper.
I'm not seeing any problem W.R.T to the version compatablity. Your judgement is good unless other wise if there is any show stoper from the Business / fuctional team.
-Hope this is helpful Thank you
