I am working on Bills of Materials in SAP Business One. Can anyone give an opinion on how to handle a part that we make in our factory and send out to a vendor to be painted in various colors? I need the quantity of unfinished parts to be subtracted from my unpainted inventory count when it leaves the factory and need it to become a new painted part when it returns from the vendor to the factory. One way or another, I need to track how many unpainted parts I have and how many painted parts I have. This seems to stump everyone, including me. Thanks for any help you can give!
